Potato and Rabbit is amazing! But scarce!!
My dog avoids her allergies by eating the potato and rabbit kibble and canned food. But the canned food has been out of stock everywhere for months. When will it be back in online stores???

The Best Kibble
This formula was recommended by my Veterinarian. I struggled with numerous brands as my Labradoodle was extremely fussy and had digestive issues. She would not eat just kibble. First is was food toppers then we went to a human grade formula, which did not agree with her. Her Vet suspects a food allergy so he recommended this product. What a life saver this kibble has been. When the 1st bag arrived we made a huge fuss and gave her a few pieces which she gobbled up. The transition was super easy because she continued to gobble it up. Now we are 100% ONLY kibble and she's crunching away as I type and her digestive issues have subsided. Thank you Royal Canin!!

Great food!
When I adopted my little one, I quickly found out she had IBD. Finding a good food for her was quite a difficult process, but once the vet got her started on this she started eating better and having healthier “movements” almost immediately! She’s been on this food for a few months now and it’s definitely been worth it. We also soak it for added hydration and it softens quite nicely. My only gripe is that my dog is quite small, plus we needed her to gain weight at the start, so I would have appreciated 1) a smaller kibble, 2) for the food measurement chart on the bag to go smaller than 11lbs, and 3) for the food measurement chart to consider underweight dogs (it only gives measurements for healthy-sized and for overweight dogs). That said, I’m very pleased with this food and am grateful that it’s allowed my little one’s system to “normalize”—it works so well for her that I’m upgrading from the small bag to the 25lb one!

Disappointed
Our vet prescribed this food for our Dachshund who had itchy/scratchy problems. Well, the good news is that the food benefits our dog. The bad news is the pieces of kibble are too large and way too hard for our dog. I tried smashing some with a mallet but it wouldn't break to smaller bites; my boyfriend uses all force possible and it either stays whole or crumbles. We tried soaking for ten minutes in hot water and that softens it some, but our dog will only eat it while it's warm and he's a grazer. So, he sniffs his food and walks away. Eventually when he's hungry enough, he'll try to eat some...poor pup. I wrote Royal Canin and received a defensive email basically saying we test our foods, there is no problem. Well, there is a problem our dog doesn't like it. We'll ask our vet for another recommendation.

Formulary Change - Dog Died
My boy ate PR for years. He had a allergies and could only eat rabbit. The bag changed and I did not think much of it. He ate it. About 24 hours later he developed severe diarrhea. This set off a cascading failure in his intestines. His proteins dropped. The vet tried everything possible over 6 weeks trying to recover him. He lost 25 pounds and we had to put him to sleep on February 26th. Whatever they did to change the food cascaded my beloved dog to his death. I so wish food makers understood the impact altering their foods or adding new chemicals can have. I cannot get my boy back but I can warn others.
