Cat miserable with formula change
My cat was prescribed this by our vet due to bad food allergies and it was life saving for us as we went through months of trail and error. Her hair was growing back finally after being on this for a year and she finally seemed comfortable again. Then they changed the formula. My cat is worse than ever now. All the hair grew back is gone from over grooming, she’s now lost hair on that back of her legs as well and even higher up on her belly. We are taking her back to the vet but we are at a complete loss on what to do next. It’s clear that the new formula no longer works for my cat and has made things even worse. So disappointed in this change. Please listen to your costumers, bring back the original formula or at least offer both options so the animals that have been negatively impacted by this change can get the option to go back. We already spend tons of money on this food because we care so much about our animals, this change has impacted many people and we just want the old formula back.

My cat won't even go near the new formula. So now I'm at a loss at getting him to eat some wet food since he's only really supposed to have the zd. But we'll touch the new one.

New ingredients changes
Why change the formula and lost the trust in pet parents. It is irresponsible to change ingredients and not let veterinarians and pet parents of the new changes. Your food its expensive already and you have the audacity to make everything worse . Shame on you for causing this stress on all of your loyal customers.

Won’t eat new formula
I would give zero stars if I could
The formula change has been a disaster. I received my monthly shipment and did not notice the different label. Upon opening the can I thought it smelled “off” but went about feeding my cat as usual. She started walking towards the plate and got about a foot away and then turned tail. No matter how long it sat there she would not get close let alone eat it. I had a whole case and a few can of the original formula so I began the approach of easing her in to the new formula. Putting one teaspoon new in to four tablespoons of original. Still no dice. I’m very upset as she has IBS and hydrolyzed protein is required for her health. But no she won’t eat. Having to choose between her not eating at all, or eating something else that makes her feel bad and sometimes throw up is a despicable position to be put in. I am begging you to please please bring back the original formula. The condescending response by “consumer affairs” to so many other negative online reviews makes me think Hills does not listen to their customers or care about the animals. Whatever benefit may have been intended by this new formula is moot if the pets that are prescribed the food will not eat it. Have mercy and do the right thing.

New formula. TERRIBLE. My poor cat went from eating a whole can of the original formula every day to not even getting close to the plate with this new formula. She’s starving and it’s heartbreaking

Hills has lost my trust for this debacle
Shame on Hills for making a change to a formula and not disclosing this to pet parents, veterinarians and retailers. And changing a formula specifically designed for cats/dogs with special needs? You have totally lost my trust and my respect. It took us almost 2 years to get our cat diagnosed and stabilized on the "original" food and it's not like there are other options. Our cat won't even go near the food due to the smell - either the pecan shells or coconut oil is repulsive to him. Shame, shame, shame on you. Now we have to start over. Why couldn't you have kept the original and added this to your line. I'm beyond frustrated and upset on behalf of our cat.
