Perfect Prep fine, Petmed, not so much
I tried to order 5 Perfect prep tubes.....I was told the inventory was too low to sell me 5 tubes. So I bought 2 tubes for the horse show 5 days after my order. I stressed that I needed them by the weekend. I was told they would be here in 2 days. THEY WERE NOT!! In fact, they arrived Monday, 2 days AFTER THE SHOW I NEEDED THEM FOR! I will NOT count on Petmed and in fact will not order from them again.

Wonderful product for anxious horses!
I purchased this product for a Thoroughbred mare that was very anxious about the farrier. I was hoping to find something that would help with her nervousness that was made with natural ingredients. We gave one tube the night before and the second tube 1.5 hours prior to the farrier arriving. It worked great! The mare seemed so much more calm and relaxed in what is normally a stressful situation for her. My farrier was so happy! I highly recommended this product to friends!

Doesn’t Work- Changed Formula?
This product USED TO be like magic! The past year anytime I have bought it, it does nothing. I don’t know if they changed the formula or something, but I’ve tried it on multiple horses in the past year and it hasn’t affected them at all. Same thing goes for the Training Day powder. I know they changed the formula for that one as it looks/tastes different (mare won’t eat it anymore) and when I could get her to eat it, it almost seemed to make her more wound up.

Hocus Pocus, now we must Focus
So pleased with the Perfect Prep Extreme and how it helps my OTTB focus at shows. He is able to jump and flat with focus and calmness.

The tubes of perfect prep products are huge, the paste is thick, and it’s not the easiest to administer. We usually just squirt it into their grain. The pellets are more economical and easier to feed in their soaked grain at horse shows.

Expensive But Effective
The directions were correct... administered 90 minutes prior to need and focus / calm / sweet behavior resulted, even when an unexpected very loud construction team with heavy machinery rolled through right next to the trail. The results from 1 full tube lasted about 90 minutes (not 6 hours) on a 600 pound pony. Overall it helped the pony focus and calm down to work through training in an area it had spooked in previously and get a new, positive, experience without having so much anxiety.

Turned the naughty pony into an angel!!!
I wish I had tried Perfect Prep earlier! The attitude difference in my daughter's pony was nothing short of a miracle!! It is a bit of a fight to get him to take the tube but, once it's in, he is the pony every mom/trainer/kid dreams of!!

Works as described
I used in conjunction with PP Gold pellets and was very satisfied with the effects on my gelding. I normally use the pp green label and think that might be a bit more effective
