About this product

What is Loxicom®(meloxicam oral suspension)?

Loxicom (meloxicam) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) prescribed by your vet to help control pain and inflammation from osteoarthritis in dogs. Because it comes in liquid form, you can give to your dog directly by mouth or simply disguise it in his favorite wet food. Customers may receive this drug under the name Metacam, Meloxidyl, Loxicom. Loxicom is bioequivalent to the pioneer product, Metacam (meloxicam), and it uses the same active ingredient for effective pain relief. This oral suspension comes with two sizes of dosing syringes to make administering easy for small and large dogs. Loxicom is available in 10 ml, 32 ml, and 100 ml bottles and requires a prescription from your veterinarian.

For:

Dogs (6 months of age or older)

Benefits:

  • Helps control pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis
  • May be mixed with food or dosed directly into the mouth
  • Easy-to-administer dosing syringe
  • Packaged in clear bottles to easily view remaining contents
  • Odorless for easier administration

How does Loxicom®(meloxicam oral suspension) work?

Loxicom works by reducing hormones that cause pain and inflammation in the body.

Prescription order for Loxicom
Very pleased with communication and efficiency when ordering prescription meds. This med required refill contact with my vet. Pet Meds responded quickly for the refill and shipping, will order from them again. I use Loxicom on an as needed basis for acute flair up of spine issues, works well for short term use 3-5 days.

Expensive ibuprofen!
This is basically just custom dosed ibuprofen. Why is it so expensive? I mean, yours is cheaper than the first place they sent us, but still! Why can I get hundreds of doses of an nsaid for a human for like ten bucks, but 30 doses for my dog, which he basically has to take for the rest of his life, sets me back 40 to 50 dollars per month after the introductory offer? Three stars because it does give him relief you'd expect from an nsaid, but minus two stars for price gouging.

Great price for this medication
My cat has arthritis and he was limping very badly in front legs, and did not like back legs brushed as usual. My vet put him on this medicine and within 2 weeks he stopped limping! Since then he has returned to his normal routine. My vets charge for the same meds was very expensive and she even agreed that your price is wonderfully low. It does require a prescription but that is easy to get. The oral is so much easier than trying to stuff a pill down him. We did try giving every other day, however, he started limping immediately. So I fully recommend staying on the prescribed dose. A blood test every 3 months is required as this does affect the kidneys.

Miraculous drug
Chloe’s vet put her on this 2 months ago and she went from favoring her left back paw to running, jumping and acting like a puppy; helped her arthritis so so much. Thank you , truly a blessing for Chloe and her Mom, ME 😁❤️

Same effects, great price!
Seems to be just as effective as regular medicam. It took our two 8 year old labs from limping and straining after a long cross country ski to being ready go 3-4 miles day after day. I add it to their food so there’s no problem with them taking it (they’re labs of course). I have found a 50lb maintenance dose is fine even though they weigh 85lbs. It has dramatically improved their quality of life and fitness. Don’t wait until they’re too old to still enjoy life to give them this medicine. They’re like pups again, they deserve it!

A little disappointed
I thought I would try the generic for Metacam to save a little money. My dog enjoyed taking the Metacam, so getting him to take his medication was a breeze. He doesn’t really like the loxicom as well. He will take it with a little coaxing, but I probably won’t buy it again.
